Details of Vacancy :

  • Clerk – 2374 Posts
  • Clerk IT – 212 Posts
  • Account Clerk – 203 Posts

Age Limit :

  • Candidate should have attained the age of 18 years but should not be older than 37 years on 1st Jan, 2021.
  • The maximum age limit for Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes of the State of Punjab will be 42 years.
  • The maximum age limit for State and Central Government employees will be 45 years with exemption from the upper age limit.
  • In case of ex-servicemen residing in Punjab, the upper age limit shall be in accordance with the Punjab Recruitment of EX-Servicemen Rules, 1982 as amended from time to time. This age limit is considered after deducting the period of service rendered from his age in the Army that he meets the conditions of the age limit.
  • The maximum age limit for disabled persons residing in Punjab will be 47 years with a waiver of 10 years.
  • The upper age limit for widows, divorcees and certain other categories of married women as per instructions issued by the Government of Punjab vide Letter No. 1/50/83-5PP(1368)/3454 dated 23.04.1984 will be relaxed up to 40 years.

Pay Scale :

Pay Scale/Pay Matrix as per 7th Central Pay Commission Rs. 19900/-.

Education Qualification :

Name of Posts Education Qualification
Clerk (I) Should have Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University or Institution;
and
(II) Possesses at least one hundred and twenty hours course with hands on experience in the use of Personal Computer or Information Technology in Office Productivity applications or Desktop Publishing applications from a Government recogniesed institution or a reputed institution, which is ISO
9001 certified.
OR
Possesses a Computer Information Technology course equivalent to ‘O’ Level certificate of Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Course (DOEACC) of Government of India. and
(III) Qualifies a test in Punjabi (In Unicode Compliant Font Raavi ) and English typing to be held by the Board or the appointing authority or the Department of Information Technology as the case may be, at a speed of thirty words per minute before his appointment (As specified in The Punjab Civil Services (General and Common Conditions of Service) Rules, 1994) and
(IV) Qualifies a competitive test to be held by the recruiting authority; and
(V) “ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਿਵਲ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ (General and Common Conditions of Service) ਰੂਲਜ਼, 1994 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਉਪਬੰਧ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਦਸਵੀਂ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
Clerk IT (I) Should be B.Tech in Computer Science or or B.Sc. (Information Technology ) or Bachelor of Computer Application or a Graduate having Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application from recognized university or institution or any other equivalent or higher qualification in the relevant
discipline; and
(II) Qualifies a test in Punjabi (In Unicode Compliant Font Raavi ) and English typing to be held by the Board or the appointing authority or the Department of Information Technology as the case may be, at a speed of thirty words per minute before his appointment (As specified in The Punjab Civil Services (General and Common Conditions of Service) Rules, 1994)
and
(III) Qualifies a competitive test to be held by the recruiting authority; and
(IV) “ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਿਵਲ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ (General and Common Conditions of Service) ਰੂਲਜ਼, 1994 ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਉਪਬੰਧ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਦਸਵੀਂ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
Account Clerk (i) Should be B.Com from recognized university or institution or any other equivalent or higher qualification in the relevant discipline; and
