- Eligibility: Must have studied Maths, Physics along with Chemistry / Biology / Computer Science with at least 60% marks in Intermediate / 10 + 2.

2. Senior Secondary Recruitment (SSR) – 2000

Selection Process:
The selection for the replacement of these posts will be done in three stages namely Online Exam, Physical Fitness Test and Medical Exam. Merit in the Computer Based Online Test conducted nationwide for Artificer Apprentice, Senior Secondary Recruits are selected on the basis of Statewise Merit. At least 10,000 people who qualify for the online test will be selected for the physical test. A medical test will be conducted for those who qualify. Those who are disqualified can pay Rs 40 within 21 days and request a review at the Military Hospital.
Test procedure:
The exam will be conducted online and will have 100 questions for 100 marks. Time 60 minutes. There will be questions at the inter level. The question paper will be in English and Hindi mediums. There is negative marking. 2 marks will be minus for one wrong answer. Overall cutoff marks should be obtained along with sectional cutoff.
Physical Fitness Test:
Qualifying on the Physical Fitness Test is a must. Running 1.6 km in 7 minutes requires 20 sit-ups and 10 push-ups. Preference will be given to those who are certified in sports, swimming and other curricular activities.
Medical Standards:
At least 157 cm. Height should be. Chest 5 cm when inhaled. Should be expanded. Ears and teeth should be clean. Eyesight should be 6/6 with or without glasses. Tattoos are allowed only on the inside of the forearm. They are ineligible if there is a tattoo on any other part of the body.
Training:
Those selected for these posts will be given 9 months training for AR candidates and 22 months for SSR candidates in this batch starting from August 2022 at INS Chilka Center. The training will have a stipend of Rs 14,600 per month. Those who complete the training will be employed in Level-3 for 20 years (15 years for SSR). 21,700 to Rs. Up to 69,100 can be obtained. In addition there are other allowances.
