Angad of BJP became MLC by winning by 1745 votes

In the election of MLC held in Barabanki district, the candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party has won the victory. BJP candidate Angad Kumar Singh defeated Rajesh Yadav Raju of SP by 1745 votes. While Angad Kumar Singh got 2272 votes, SP candidate Rajesh Yadav Raju got 527 votes. Independent candidate Dheeraj Yadav had to be satisfied with 7 votes. During the counting of votes, 21 votes were declared invalid. This is the first time that a BJP candidate has won the MLC election after independence. Last time SP candidate Rajesh Yadav Raju was elected MLC.

Awadhesh of BJP won by 4401 votes

Counting of votes has been completed for Gonda-Balrampur seat. BJP’s Awadhesh Kumar Singh alias Manju Singh defeated SP candidate Dr. Bhanu Kumar Tripathi by 4401 votes. In the polling held on April 9 at 26 centers in Gonda and Balrampur, 4824 voters had cast their votes. BJP candidate Awadhesh Kumar Singh alias Manju Singh got 4572 votes, SP candidate Dr. Bhanu Kumar Tripathi got only 171 votes. Independent candidate Anand Swaroop Yadav alias Pappu Yadav got 17 votes. 21 votes were invalid in the voting.

MLC elections: Rama Niranjan of BJP registered victory

BJP candidate Rama Niranjan won the Jhansi-Lalitpur-Jalaun seat of the Legislative Council. He defeated Samajwadi Party’s candidate Shyamsunder Singh Yadav. Rama got 2287 and Shyamsundar got 1513 votes. It may be noted that in 2016, Rama had reached the Legislative Council on a SP ticket. In 2021, she left the SP and joined the BJP.

MLC election: BJP candidate leading by 1184 votes in first round

BJP candidate Dr. Sudhir Gupta has secured 1256 votes in the first round of vote counting for Pilibhit-Shahjahanpur seat of Legislative Council in Shahjahanpur. While SP candidate Amit Yadav Rinku got only 72 votes. The independent candidate got 17 votes. 55 votes were annulled. In the very first round, BJP has made a big lead. Counting of votes began at 8 am amidst tight security at the Government Polytechnic on Kant Road. After straightening the postal ballot, the trend of first round has come out in which BJP candidate Dr. Sudhir Gupta is leading by 1184 votes. A total of 4083 votes are to be counted.

The counting of votes for the MLC election in Ghazipur has been completed. BJP candidate Vishal Singh won by defeating SP’s Madan Singh Yadav in the counting of votes. The number of invalid votes stood at 62, while Jansatta Dal’s national general secretary Kailash Nath Ojha got 14 votes. Apart from these, Madhurima Singh, wife of Akshay Pratap Singh, got 5 votes.

Independent Vikrant Singh Rishu won by defeating SP-BJP

The counting of votes for MLC elections in Azamgarh district has been completed. Independent candidate Vikrant Singh Rishu won by defeating Arun Kant Yadav of BJP in the counting of votes. His victory caused a wave of happiness among his supporters. The speculations being made regarding the MLC elections in the district have come to an end. The counting of votes began at eight in the morning at the FCI godown on Tuesday. The polling was completed within three hours. In the counting of votes, independent candidate Vikrant Singh Rishu defeated BJP’s Arun Kant Yadav and captured this seat. Vikrant Singh Rishu got 4075 votes in the counting of votes. While his nearest rival BJP’s Arun Kant Yadav got 1262 votes and SP’s Rakesh Yadav got 356 votes. Thus Vikrant Singh Rishu was declared the winner by 2813 votes.

Shailendra Pratap Singh was elected MLC for the fifth time

Shailendra Pratap Singh of BJP has won from Sultanpur-Amethi Legislative Council seat. He defeated SP candidate Shilpa Prajapati by a huge margin. BJP’s Shailendra Pratap Singh got 2481 votes while SP’s Shilpa Prajapati got 1119 votes. Shailendra Pratap Singh has been elected MLC for the fifth time. He has contested elections six times so far, in which he has won five times.
